Twitter PWA for Windows 10 updated with event video pop-out, much more

The Twitter Progressive Web App (PWA) for Windows 10 is getting a pretty hefty list of updates today. According to the release notes, you'll now be able to pop out issue videos when reading tweets, crop and resize image uploads, and more. This update also includes several improvements to things like polls, emoji, profiles, and more (via OnMSFT).

New

  • Video: Events with a video will at present pop-out the video and put it in the bottom corner of the screen as you gyre downward to read Tweets.
  • Events: Added social context ('8k people here') to the events page to share the scale of the result.
  • Image Uploading: You lot can now resize and crop uploaded images for your Tweets and DMs. Click the paintbrush icon on the lesser correct after selecting an image to adjust the image (Contour image cropping is coming before long™).

Updated

  • Polls: Improvements to poll display and poll creation on smaller screens.

Fixes

  • Profile: Profile photos are no longer slightly cropped.
  • Timeline: The 'Retweeted past' text is at present properly aligned.
  • Tweets: Tweet gif attachments were incorrectly limited to 5MB, we've increased the limit to 15MB.
  • Video: Fixed an issue when rotating a device while playing a full-screen video.
  • Video: Permit Firefox to autoplay videos too.
  • Timeline: Fixed a scroll position issues cause by a modify in Chrome's total-screen behavior.
  • Direct Letters: Images in DMs will always exist total size (as opposed to the cropped display the timeline uses)

Because Twitter is at present a PWA app on Windows 10, there's no need to secure the update through the Microsoft Store. These changes should automatically appear in the Twitter app as they're available.
