Razer's Tartarus Pro keypad sports pressure-sensitive optical switches

Razer today debuted a pregnant update to its Tartarus keypad, the new Tartarus Pro. The keypad now incorporates analog optical switches for the keys, giving it pressure sensitivity that you mostly find on analog game controllers.

With the new switches, you tin can assign 2 functions per primal because of the Tartarus Pro's ability to sense how deep you've pressed. One action will trigger on a partial keystroke, while the other tin trigger on a full keystroke. That duality can come in handy for more granular movement controls in FPS and racing games.

Down to the bare specs, the Tartarus Pro comes with 32 programmable keys, and viii-fashion directional pad, and supports up to 8 profiles that can be toggled on the wing depending on the game you're playing. What's more, the analog input is compatible out of the box with all gamepad-supported games, Razer says.

Of course, in that location's also Chroma RGB lighting here, every bit well as a braided cobweb cablevision, back up for unlimited macro lengths, and more.

The Razer Tartarus Pro is available now in black and "Mercury White" colors for $130 at Razer's web store.
